Piles and Anchors help stabilize building foundations as geotechnical construction, such as soil stabilization and infrastructure upgrades. Our range of hot-finished seamless tubes offers ideal solutions for all kinds of piling applications, offering a safe, strong and cost-effective solution.
Our structural tubes are typically used for various foundation techniques like micropiles, bored piles or displacement piles (e.g. helical piles) in civil construction.
Common applications are such as tunnelling, mining and anchorages, powerlines and buildings with demanding requirements like seismic design or flooding areas.
- Micropiles up to 300 mm often used in case of restricted/limited space conditions, e.g. revamp of existing foundations or building structures.
- Bored Piles >300 mm outer dimension are typically used in case of deep foundations with easy access to the construction site or as pit protection element.
- The domain for helical piles / screw piles is structural support (compression or tension) for both, permanent and temporary structures or underpinning of existing foundations.
Our offer comprises hot formed seamless steel tubes in various grades and dimensions. If you have specific needs for the steel supporting element, we are able to provide high-strength steels, cut-to-length or with special surface quality for better grip with the grouting material.
Our specific solution for micropile is Tecnipile®.
With this leading first choice seamless steel tubes as structural steel element, the job is easier and faster. Only minimum access and headroom are required to drill a series of small holes with little vibration or noise. They can be installed through virtually any ground condition, making them suitable for environmentally challenging conditions. They are compact and light, and able to resist compressive tensile and lateral loads. A complete portfolio of steel grades – including proprietary high yield – is available with short lead times.
Tecnipile®
Our proprietary range is designed to meet your challenges. The wide size range covers micropiles with outside diameters from 60.3 mm to 273 mm and wall thicknesses between 5 mm and 25 mm.
