Secondary steel structures provide additional protection to windmill foundations, improving their durability and sheltering them from harsh environmental factors (e.g. wind, salt, water). Vallourec’s secondary steel tubes are used for boat landings, J-Tubes and pre-fabricated anode cages.

Our secondary steel features superior surface quality and material stiffness. Seamless tubing enables boat landings to withstand the impact of crew vessels. Maintenance can be reduced thanks to seamless square and rectangular Structural Hollow Sections, and weldability is enhanced by a controlled carbon equivalent.
