Heavy Wall line pipes are generally defined as pipes with a wall thickness above 25 mm. Heavy wall pipe is specified for applications such as greater volume carried and greater internal pressures within the pipe. Sometimes wall thickness must be increased to support the external burden of the pipe and reply to fatigue sensitive challenges.
