Monitoring underground wells for carbon leakage
Since the goal of CCUS is to reduce carbon emissions from industrial sources, associated regulations are predicted to be extremely strict. Leakage from underground CO2 wells will be carefully monitored to ensure the health and safety of personnel and the public. In addition, this careful monitoring will serve to verify that the total injected CO2 volume is stored in a controlled way and in the correct target formations.
